2nd Shift Summer Production Helper

Responsible for ensuring the production line has all of the necessary component materials and equipment to accomplish the orders at hand in a timely manner.
This position requires knowledge of scanning procedures, identifying materials, equipment requirements, equipment operation, and planning skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: May include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Read and understand work orders to verify all product information is correct .
Verify that adequate raw materials and supplies are available to meet line production needs, notify appropriate personnel about anything that is short or cannot be located.
Accurately complete required paperwork and data entry for quality and production checks.
Visually check raw product for foreign objects.
Visually inspect equipment, tables, floors, etc? to ensure GMP standards are met.
Accurately measure or weigh raw materials to ensure proper blends according to production order.
Prepare bulk cheese according to production order such as; unboxing, decasing, removing plastic wrap etc...
Safely operate, set up, and break down all equipment such as; harps, grinders, cutters, blenders, urschels etc...involved in reducing bulk materials according to production order specifications.
Monitor and replace harp/die wires as needed.
Proper placement of trim, further processing, and inedible product.
Properly move/lift pallets weighing up to 75lbs.
Accurately scan warehouse managed items.
Read and understand work orders to verify all product information is correct .
Maintain, load, and monitor packing equipment to include minor adjustments and
coordinate set up and placement of equipment such as; auto case packer, tape machines, printers, conveyors.
Verify correct label information.
Load and stack completed packages or containers to pallets according to proper loading
or stacking patterns as required.
Visually inspect equipment, tables, floors, etc? to ensure GMP standards are met.
Ensure that samples are taken and labeled according to specifications.
Accurately complete required paperwork and data entry for quality and production checks.
Inspect and pack product to ensure package quality meets customer expectations
Operate industrial power equipment to move supplies and product.
Assist others in Prep area and Pack area activities
Assure that quality and quantity of work produced is acceptable to the company standards.
Demonstrate good communication skills and be respectful of others
Train individuals as assigned.
Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
Follow all GMP's as required by the plant.
Follow all safety regulations and requirements.
Immediately report accidents, injuries, and any equipment that is in need of repair.
All other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED/HSED)
Food Manufacturing experience preferred.
Language Skills:
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate simple fractions.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Computer Skills:
Ability to perform data entry for inventory systems and labeling software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Lift truck Certification
Lock out tag out procedures
National Career Readiness Certification Required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
