Understanding of 14 CFR part 25 regulatory compliance requirements under 14 CFR part 21 certification procedures. Experience in understanding FAA requirements conveyed via Issue Papers for Special Conditions, Equivalent Levels of Safety findings, and Unsafe Features or Characteristics, and ability to aid in developing applicant positions in their response. Experience with EASA processes and CS 25 regulatory requirements is preferred. (experience with other foreign authorities is also acceptable). Proficient at determination and application of certification methods of compliance to the airworthiness standards. Experience working and managing engineering type design change projects, new/amended STC projects, major repairs and alterations is required. Collaborative teamwork skills and ability to develop professional relationships with internal and external project stakeholders. Ability to provide mentorship to more junior coworkers on determination of compliance requirements for moderately complex major design change projects for all the skill discussed above. Understanding of Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) principles. Previous experience working with a delegated organization (ODA, DAS, DOA) is preferred but not required. Understanding of conformity process is desired.
